Located within the stretch of indoor restaurants called ICON Village, Purple Mustard is a small kiosk specializing in hearty and satisfying hot dogs and wraps.

Purple Mustard only has 5 tables, as this is more of a take-away joint, rather than a sit-down joint. The ambience at Purple Mustard is therefore quite minimal, with a purple and yellow colour scheme that suits their name.

Staff are Purple Mustard at friendly and knowledgeable about their ingredients. Food is freshly prepared only upon order, so be prepared to wait at least 3 minutes during non-peak periods, and around 10 minutes during peak periods.

Food portions at Purple Mustard are relatively large and quite filling. Hot Dogs are only available during lunch (11am - 3.30pm), and there are 9 pre-selected combination of toppings. You may also DIY, and select your own combination of toppings for Hot Dogs. For DIY, Purple Mustard offers a choice of 9 different types of sausages, with over 25 different toppings / condiments / sauces, and 2 different types of hot dog bun.

The other speciality at Purple Mustard are the wraps, with 8 different pre-selected combinations. The wraps are quite filling, and small eaters may wish to share. Purple Mustard also has pretty good fries, and a choice of 13 types of accompanying dipping sauces.

.....

A standard order of Fries. You may choose to add on 1 of 13 different dipping sauces, including the signature Purple Mustard sauce.

The pre-selected combination for Hot Dogs are their own versions of standard classics. The Coney Dog has a savoury and meaty beef chili and diced red onions, but with a springy veal sausage and a tangy garlic remoulade. The Achtung Kraut Dog has a unique sour and tangy buttered rye sauerkraut, with Louisiana remoulade, gherkins and mixed pickles on 3 Nuernberger bratwursts.

The Yucatan Chic is almost like a breakfast burrito, with scrambled eggs, chicken breast, caramelized onions, green peppers, spinach, cheese and oddly, potato salad in a tortilla. The Moroccan is a Moroccan inspired wrap, with a lamb sausage, scrambled eggs, cheese, and spinach in a tortilla. It was nice, but I didn't feel that it lived up to its Moroccan inspiration.

Purple Mustard offers 2 house-made drinks, but despite visiting a few times, I've only managed to try the Jamaica. It's a Mexican inspired drink made with Hibiscus flowers, brown sugar and spices. Rather unique taste, quite interesting, and pretty good thirst quencher.
