How good can roast pork be? At Keith Crackling Roast in PasarBella - The Farmer's Market @ The Grandstand, they might have the answer. Formerly a pop-up store called Keith & Kin, founder Keith Lee left behind an IT career to perfect the art of roasting pork. His experience with pork roasting techniques in Australia, Philippines, and England seems to have paid off; a vegetarian customer once made an exception for his roast pork!

Ambience at Keith Crackling Roast is shared amongst the other stalls in PasarBella - The Farmer's Market @ The Grandstand. The common furniture is directly next to the stall, but most customers order takeaway. I like that Keith Crackling Roast provides a handy tray, which allows ease of holding even if you decide to eat on the go. The main attraction is their fantastic Sio Bak / Roast Pork Belly on display under warm lights, looking so appetizing!

Service at Keith Crackling Roast is friendly, and orders are fulfilled quickly. Not too difficult, as the main item on the small menu is their Sio Bak / Roast Pork Belly. But I like that staff do greet you with a smile, looking chirpy and upbeat.

The Sio Bak / Roast Pork Belly at Keith Crackling Roast is moist, not dry, with an extremely crisp skin that produces a satisfiying crunch, before giving way to the soft, moist, seasoned meat below. I like that the layers of fat are thin, adding a nice flavour, but also easily removed if you're more health conscious. Each portion is served with slices of fresh, crunchy cucumber, and a choice from 1 of 3 homemade sauces; either a tangy mustard wasabi sauce, a sweet apple sauce, or fiery chili flakes.

How good can roast pork be? At Keith Crackling Roast, it might just be among the best roast pork experiences you'll have.

The Crackling Roast Pork Slab (SGD $130 Large, $240 Uber Size) stands out as a display, and orders are cut / lifted from this huge slab.

Absolutely loved the Crackling Roast Pork With Cucumber & Mustard Sauce (SGD $8 Regular, $15 Double)! The meat is moist and laced through with slivers of fat, carrying a well seasoned taste. The skin is so crisp, I almost feel rude eating it due to the loud crunch!

Update Oct-2015: Keith Crackling Roast has added some new items to their regular menu. The Full Set Roast Combo (SGD $18) is a very filling plate of 2 meats and 2 sides. The Lemongrass Rice is nicely fragrant and soft with the floral essence of lemongrass, though it looks plain. The Herb Roasted Potatoes were also very fragrant with a slightly charred exterior, and I like the liberal use of herbs (rosemary and thyme) which made it incredibly flavourful. The Honey Pork Roast has a sweet, sticky honey glaze, just caramelised enough to give the tender, moist, non-greasy pork loin meat a smoky aroma, but without any burnt taste, excellent!
