The Mercedes-Benz B-Class 180 is a German compact sports tourer luxury car, first introduced in 2005, with a second generation model introduced in 2011. Marketed as a family car, the Mercedes-Benz B-Class 180 is known for its comfort, safety, and reliability.

I've driven the Mercedes-Benz B-Class 180 for awhile now. The new 2014 model has a much sleeker look in its exterior design as compared to its predecessors, with a curvature on the side and a spoiler on the back.

I like that the Mercedes-Benz B-Class 180 is very comfortable and spacious within. The 5 vent air-conditioning system is powerful, cooling the car really quickly. Also unusual is the foldable tray meal table attached to the seats, which allows passengers to dine in the car!

The Mercedes-Benz B-Class 180 is very fuel efficient. Generally, a full tank of petrol will last me the duration of 10 - 12 days, or a distance of 500 kilometers. I also like the convienence and 'smartness' of the car, it's easy to drive and handle, the acceleration takes it from 0 - 100 km/h within 11.3 seconds.

However, the weight of the Mercedes-Benz B-Class 180 also means that if you temporarily stop on an incline or slope, even a small one, the car has a tendency to roll back if you're not careful. Also, the Mercedes-Benz B-Class 180 doesn't fare well in start/stop heavy traffic crawling conditions, it burns a lot of fuel. Best driven on long, open roads with little traffic lights.

The Mercedes-Benz B-Class 180 also doesn't do well in turning tight corners due to its size. And the car also doesn't handle too well at very low speeds of below 10 km/h, it tends to get a bit shaky. It's also rather unusual that the gear stick is behind the steering wheel.

Overall though, the Mercedes-Benz B-Class 180 is a good buy, very comfortable, just powerful enough to keep up with more sporty cars, looks good, very safe with 7 airbags, reliable, and at SGD $158,000, is more price accessible and affordable than other car models in Mercedes-Benz.
