Since their establishment in November 2012, EPIKebabs has been consistently serving up tasty and filling kebabs and plates. The halal-certified EPIKebabs promises delicious, quick, filling meals at wallet-friendly prices, using fresh ingredients and natural herbs and spices.

Ambience at EPIKebabs is modern functional. The brightly lit but small area is decked in colours of black and red, while furnishings are casual and functional, meant for quick eat-and-go meals. I like that ventilation is pretty good thanks to the open space, there isn't much grilling odour in the air. Plus, the open concept kitchen allows you to watch staff prepare your food to order.

Service at EPIKebabs is efficient and pleasant. The mostly young staff vary in deposition, from enthusiastic to sleepy. Everything is self-service, from ordering to payment to collection of orders. Staff display good product knowledge on the ingredients, and will guide you through ordering in steps. They are relatively efficient and quick at clearing up empty / dirty tables when diners leave.

Food at EPIKebabs is all about halal-certified kebabs and grilled / rotisserie meats inspired by Turkish and Middle-Eastern / Mediterranean cuisine. Dishes are freshly prepared to order, made using natural ingredients without preservatives, and so tasty. Portions are large and filling for individuals. Prices are affordable even for students, budget about SGD $7 per person for a meal here.

The Falafel (SGD $2.50) is a tasty side dish / snack, made from deep-fried ground chickpeas and herbs. With a slightly crisp exterior, and a moist, warm, soft interior, the texture is so satisfiying. Lovely vegetal earthy sweet savoury flavours in each bite. Highly recommended!

The Meat & Chips (SGD $6.50) make for a good sharing appetizer or snack. A base of thin and crisp potato chips sprinkled with a mild chili seasoning, over which is plated tender strips of marinated rotisserie chicken. I choose the EPIK sauce to coat this, resulting in each mouthful being a burst of savoury salty flavour. Delicious and filling. Good!

The Rice Plate With Egg & Hummus (SGD $8.50) is the most value for money, satisfiying meal here. A heaping plate of delicately spiced, fluffy basmati rice, plated with fluffy egg, crunchy lettuce and purple cabbage, a generous handful of tender marinated rotisserie chicken, and creamy hummus. Bold vegetal earthy sweet savoury salty flavours here, so yummy. My go-to order when I eat here. Highly recommended!

The Kebab Roll (SGD $6) is technically sound in execution, with a soft, chewy kebab dürüm flatbread wrap, tightly packed with a generous, yet balanced, ratio of vegetables and meat. I got this with crunchy lettuce and purple cabbage, along with thinly sliced beef doner, and tangy barbecue sauce. Bold vegetal tangy sweet savoury sour flavours here, but the main problem is the dry texture of the beef, knocking this down a notch. Average at best.
