This was an invited media review. I paid the standard price for my meal here.

Visited the Ultimate Hawker Fest on 22nd November 2014, held at Suntec Convention Centre Halls 401 & 402! Special thanks to Maureen Ow of Miss Tam Chiak, Ian Low of The Silver Chef, and Derrick Tan of SG Food On Foot, who organised and curated the UHF 2014! With a focus on Singapore’s Hawker Heritage, and as part of Singapore’s Jubilee SG50 celebrations, proceeds from the event went towards charity, supporting the over 32,000 beneficiaries of TOUCH Community Services.

Here's a pictoral look at the Ultimate Hawker Fest 2014 (UHF 2014).

Young entrepreneur Douglas Ng of Fishball Story was on his A-Game here, churning out bowl after delectable bowl of Fish Ball Noodles.

Singapore's Crocodile King Tony Tee came out of retirement to show his support for a good cause by preparing his signature Herbal Crocodile Soup. Here, his fun loving kitchen crew photobombed him.

A rather unique concept; Mee Siam Pie from Food Glossary! This deceptively spicy dish tastes better than it looks!

Nice to see that TOUCH Community Services arranged for some of their beneficiaries / senior citizens to visit the UHF 2014, and they even allocated a special area of seating for them, right next to the media tables!

The lovely Foie Gras Rojak from Onaka, fresh, clean flavours, but I thought it could have used more sauce.

The Ultimate Ah Hood Burger by Executive Chef of Ramada Hotel and Days Hotel Melvin Lim has 2 flavours, a grilled prime ribeye beef with black pepper sauce, and a fusion with a salted egg yolk lobster crab cake with homemade curry mayonnaise.

The Plaster Blaster from The Prata Place, is the ultimate fusion prata, almost similar to an Indian Eggs Benedict. But the spiced hollandaise sauce stands out, at once fragrant, savoury, and spicy like a curry, but smooth and creamy in texture.

The ultimate dessert is created with ultimate ingredients by Jin Jin Dessert. The Power Chendol features a premium Gula Melaka / Palm Sugar syrup, thick and sweet! The Durian Mango (Gangster) Ice features fresh, lusciously juicy Thai mangoes, and a scoop of fresh durian!

The Premium Sio Bak by King Roast was the first to sell out, after only 3 hours! This was a hit with the beneficiaries / senior citizens of TOUCH Community Services, with many of them making a beeline straight for this stall when they first arrived!
